Master Program Update

Ecole Chocolat Note: This module is included for your information only. These Master programs are totally optional. We would never sell or pressure you to attend. They are simply another learning experience available to you in the future as Ecole Chocolat graduates.

Ecole Chocolat Master Programs were developed as the next step forward for students and graduates who want to advance their skills with hands-on experience in using volume production equipment and techniques.

Students and graduates can take any of the Master Programs or Tours at any time. Some students take the programs when they are in an Ecole Chocolat Program – as that is the time they have allocated for their studies before starting their business. Others wait two or three years before taking at program.

At Ecole Chocolat, we'll continue to offer the programs as long as there is interest from our students and graduates. We try to keep the costs of the programs as low as possible as we know that most people are on a limited budget. Each program can only take a limited number of students and usually fill quickly. You'll want to plan well in advance.

These programs are one week in duration at selected professional chocolatier facilities and laboratories. At Ecole Chocolat, we made a decision early on that our hands-on advanced programs would not be taught in an artificial classroom setting but in professional laboratories with actual chocolatiers and chefs as teachers. This has made our opportunities to offer programs each year more limited but the resulting programs are much more beneficial for the students.

Fred Moore and Diane Pinder
The above photo illustrates one of the most important benefits of our master programs – learning with your peers. Classmates on the Italy program, Diane and Fred, got together after the program at Diane's laboratory at Donna & Company to collaborateon a Tuscan-inspired product.

In each program, you attend workshops and programs led by professional chocolatiers, producing luxury chocolates with the help of professional chocolate-making equipment and experience instructor-led tours to important chocolatier boutiques and factories.

Note: Program participants and travel companions must be 17 years of age or older. Also note that the program involves a lot of standing for long periods and walking (with bags at times) so good mobility and strength are important. Because we go into small towns, handicapped access is often minimal.

Master Chocolatier Program Certificate:

Students completing the program will receive an Ecole Chocolat Master Certificate of Achievement.
